Two months ago, we made a necessary trip to Nashville for my husband’s medical testing.  Instead of securing a hotel room, we decided to take the camper.  After all, our family loves to spend a weekend at a campground!  We had a few snags along the way and ended up arriving much later than expected.  It was beyond dark, and my husband had to do all the hook ups with limited light.  He had a headlamp but it didn’t illuminate enough for him to see where he needed light.  I held my phone’s flashlight up for him, but just couldn’t get it in the right spot for him.  We were both frustrated by the time we finally got settled in.  Oh, how the OVLED headlamp would have helped!

What makes OVLED special is the lighted band, which provides area lighting instead of a single beam.  This enables the user to see around, instead of just ahead.  Invented by Walt Sedlacek, this headlamp is priced just under $15.  It makes a terrific gift!

The stretchable headband is quite thin, comparable to a dog collar or sport band.  Since it uses tiny AAA batteries (3), you’ll notice that it’s very lightweight.  Users can choose between two lighting options, making it ideal for anyone who needs a little extra light!

Consider this for the people on your list who could use an extra set of hands and a light around them. Runners would appreciate being able to see all around their area.  Lovers of the outdoors, such as campers and hikers, can find uses for this headlamp.  I think I might even use it to read!  I’m planning to buy a couple of extras to have around the house in case of power outages.

How would the OVLED headlamp help you?

We are very rural without street lights. It is dark at night and even our outdoor lights do not give enough light if we have to do anything at night. We all have headlamps but I recently broke mine. i would love to try this one.

When I retire I will volunteer to help a bat researcher as I have in the past. The lamp will be fantastic when wandering around in the dark! P.S. Advocate for bats, they eat their weight of insects everyday and function as pollinators! Hanging a bat box at an edge of your property could get this insect control for your BBQ’s.
