Little piggies deserve polishes made for them. I am a fan of mom-designed products anyway, but I was especially interested in trying Piggy Polish because my daughter chews her nails. We have tried so many methods of breaking the habit (that’s a whole other post!) but so far nothing sticks. Literally. Now, Piggy Polish isn’t an edible nail polish, but it is a better alternative than traditional polishes for us! You’ve just gotta check out the adorable pictures on the Piggy Paint page. There’s nothing sweeter than those yummy little fingers and toes to nibble on!! With this polish, I don’t worry about my daughter getting toxic chemicals in her mouth every time she bites her nails. These water-based colors are gorgeous. My daughter was happier than a bird with a French fry when she saw the sparkly purple polish. I loved the pink…for ME! That’s right, Piggy Paints are for moms, too. It must be because Piggy Paint was developed by a mom. She knew what she was doing.
I hope you can tell by the photo that the color isn’t that cotton candy pink that is often offered for the little ones. In fact, this is a beautiful grown-up shade of watermelon pink. I loved it and so did my daughter! She’s in that awkward tween phase right now so anything that isn’t babyish is high on her Like List. As for me, I’m just hoping that people will be distracted by the polish and not notice my ginormous middle finger. Seriously, I never realized it was so huge until seeing this picture.
Oh, and one more thing about the polish. Piggy Paint doesn’t have the fume cloud that we are used to with regular polish. In fact, I didn’t notice a scent at all. You read that correctly, no scent!!! What a treat to paint our nails without having to hold our breath! I did two coats of paint on my nails for this picture. I loved the coverage. The polish was glossy but not too slick looking. I didn’t put on a topcoat and wished afterwards that I had. The polish lasted about two days without a topcoat. In later applications, I did use a clear topcoat and the polish lasted several days longer.
Having a mani/pedi night together is a wonderful time to spend together. Now that summer is coming up and flip flops are making their appearance, how about letting your favorite girl choose her own Piggy Paint? You can make a night of it!

Those are so cute! I really want to get some for my daughter. She loves wearing nail polish but I hate how everything is so toxic! These would be perfect.
I bought all the little girls in my family Piggy Paint sets and I’ve been known to paint my little piggies with them too!

Good point! Both of my kids (and hubby) have asthma. My husband especially has problems when we paint with regular polish. He didn’t even notice we were using this.

I’ve been out of the painted nail world for a while. Life with all boys means (1) they think I’m nuts to paint my nails and (2) I usually only have it last for a few hours before getting chipped. But, those are some cute colors.
I need to get this for my little niece. We dress her in such adorably girly things and the piggy paint will go perfectly. And you are right, it looks great on adults hands too. – Katy
