None Like Him by Jen Wilkin is a devotional that could really be used as the basis for a sermon series.  Each of 10 holy attributes are explored in depth, bolstered by scripture and personal stories.  It was an enlightening read, and each topic was fully described in a way that helped me understand a little more about God’s majesty.  The reflection questions at the end of each chapter provided extra nuggets of thought.  Although the book is short enough to read in an afternoon, I recommend savoring it over a few days.  It’s worth mulling over the points made.

Several times, I thought it would be a daunting task to be Wilkin’s friend. In an effort to make the stories relatable or funny, Wilkin explained how she silently thought of someone or a situation.  Normally I’m oblivious to what other people think of me, but I couldn’t help but be intimidated by her sometimes judgmental tone.  I’m certain that’s not how she meant to come across, so I want to give you a heads up on that if you’re easily offended.
