We recently moved to a new city.  Relocating houses means we are also looking for a new home church, since our “old” church is 45 minutes away.  At first it was fun to church-hop. It’s like trying on different outfits to see which one fits best and works for you.  After a while, though, we started to crave a church home. While we haven’t found the perfect fit for us yet, there’s one thing that doesn’t change. God’s word is a constant that helps us to remember what we’re seeking in a new church home.  My son doesn’t have a Bible of his own yet, so the NKJV Study Bible for Kids was perfect for him!

The colorful graphics on the Bible’s cover immediately caught my attention. The color continues throughout the pages; it’s really eye-catching. Even “boring” pages like the Table of Contents got a kick start in this edition!  The Bible is meant for children ages 8-10. Since my son is a 6 year old, he’ll really grow into this one. The NKJV Study Bible for Kids makes scriptural stories and characters relevant to today’s children.  I also liked the “Live It” sections which encourage children to be intentional in their actions.  Simple measures like using less water become a way of serving God. There are so many learning tools in this Bible. Timelines, footnotes, and cross-references are visual features of text that children can learn about through these pages.
