Make your list and check it twice — Month9Books 2014 trailer is here

In my daughter’s weekly report, her teacher mentioned that we needed to discuss the importance of checking over one’s work before turning it in.  Since this has been an issue we’ve tried to address in the past we decided to take a more drastic measure and remove the iPad from the picture for a few days.  When our daughter asked what she would do in the evenings, we suggested reading books (since that’s what she happily did to pass the time in the pre-iPad days.)   With wide eyes, she declared that she couldn’t read if we took her iPad because all of her books are on the Kindle app.

Oh yes, she did. She said that.

Clearly I am not reading enough print books to make an impression upon her.

So what’s a mom to do but get some new books and set an example?  We’ll have family reading time instead of mommy reading on the couch while the kids play games.  Sounds like fun, doesn’t it?  Well, make your list now because the Month9Books 2014 trailer is here.  Not all covers have been finalized and not all of them are pictured here, but this is a great start!

Month9Books is proud to present a trailer for its 2014 list. This year’s theme is Month9Books for everyone! From middle grade and young adult readers who love horror, paranormal, fantasy and whimsy, there’s a Month9Books title for everyone in 2014. This video features 16 titles, 5 of which make their cover debut here. Visit www.month9books.com to learn more about our books and authors.

Which Month9Books titles do you want to read?  The one that jumps out to me is The Looking Glass. That cover is amazing!

My daughter and I are big on reading and we want print books. There is just something about having a tangible book to hold. I’m glad you are having some reading time. Take your daughter to a local library. Books at your fingertips for free.

  2. I love the access to books on tablets and such but there is just something about a print book that you can’t recreate.

  3. Looks like a nice selection of books on the month9books 2014 trailer. I’m sure you will find plenty for her to read without her iPad 🙂
