Welcome to the Harvest Halloween Giveaway! This blog hop is hosted by Holly at Hollybee Tells. As we celebrate the changing leaves and cooler weather, let’s enjoy some great prizes, too! At our giveaway, you have a chance to win a fabulous prize package from Maggie and Mary’s.
If you’ve ever wondered what Manna from heaven looks like, I’m pretty sure that it looks and tastes something like this:
Everything that you need to make this tastes-like-homemade soup is right there in that happy little box. Seriously. You just add water, stir, and simmer. Can it be any easier? I don’t think so!
The hardest part about making this delicious soup? Waiting for it to cook. I’m serious. My kids woke up from a lazy Sunday nap (hey, church took a lot out of us today) and they were hungry little people. I told them that I’d make some potato bacon soup. Hee hee hee, that sounds so domesticated, doesn’t it? Dragging out my glass measuring cup, I poured 5 cups of water in a pot and heated it up. Next, the creamy soup base and dry ingredients (potatoes and bacon) were stirred in with a fork. Yeah, I couldn’t find my whisk. Pretty sure that my son turned it into a Star Wars weapon and lost it under some furniture. Always an overachiever, I decided to also make some Creamy Wild Rice Soup. That’s right — I made 2 soups in one day!! Mama would be proud. The vote was evenly split between both soups so you know what? I guess we’ll just have to buy both from now on!! I have my eye on several others that I want to try including the mushroom, salmon bisque, and tomato. I plan to place a big ole’ order for Christmas gifts because this is just the type of thing I always WANT to make but never get around to doing. We received a couple of other soup mixes (chicken dumpling and chili) that I’m looking forward to trying.
These soup mixes are perfect for singles or couples who don’t want to buy lots of ingredients for a ginormous pot of soup that will go to waste. Instead, stir up these soups and have far less clean up with just as much flavor. I plan to gift some Maggie and Mary’s soups to my grandparents who no longer cook at home; this is something I know they can easily make on a cold winter’s day. Check back in late November to discover more Maggie and Mary’s products including cheeseball mixes and popcorn toppers!
If you’d like to see Maggie and Mary’s products in a store near you, fill out this store referral sheet (it’s free!) and give it to your local store manager. I plan to do this at several local stores in the hopes that they’ll offer these products. I’d love to be able to pick them up on a regular basis!
