Did you hear that?  Your Goodreads page just asked you to add The Lying Woods to your TBR list.

This is the same book I told you about back in May.  The release date is finally here, so the whole world can enjoy reading about Owen!  My Goodreads page wants to tell you all about it.  You’ll find it on my favorites shelf!

Here are a few reasons to love The Lying Woods.

Pecan orchard

Do you know how to harvest pecans?  I didn’t either.  This book was so sneaky about teaching me things!  Also, it made me hungry; pecans are a good snack.

Owen’s mom

Maggie was the kind of woman who takes motherhood very seriously.  She understood how to allow Owen to be his own person, but stood as a support for him, too.  I respected her a lot.

Realistic

Okay, maybe it’s not entirely realistic…but the story made sense.  The events followed a reasonable sequence.  The twists were perfectly timed and perfectly executed!

So, basically, you need to read The Lying Woods.  Lucky you — Disney Books is offering a finished copy to one Savings in Seconds reader! The giveaway is open to US readers ages 18+. Void where prohibited by law.  Just visit the form below to get started.  Good luck!

Harvesting pecans? I know you should try to get them before they are on the ground to long. So pick them up off the ground right after they fall or climb the trees to get the ones just about ready to fall.

I want to read the book because it sounds like an excellent story.

  3. Stephanie H. says

I would wait until after the first freeze in the fall season before I would go pecan picking.

  4. Lara Maynard says

Does the cover match the story? I would guess from the cover that it’s sort of creepy or gothic. But l don’t quite get that from the description.

  5. Debra Branigan says

This sounds very intriguing and that’s why I want to read it.

  6. I’d rake the pecans up right after they fall in a wind storm
