Wow, I’m stunned by I Let You Go! Stayed up way too late reading it, and it was worth every second.

First, I highly suggest going into this book blind. Don’t read the summaries, dust jacket, or even detailed reviews. My feelings won’t be hurt if you just stop here!!!! For some reason, this showed up on my Kindle app (must have added it to a hold list at some point, but I’d completely forgotten what it was about) and that’s how I ended up reading it. My ignorance was helpful because I had nothing to expect. So glad I didn’t know anything about it beforehand!

The story switches between character perspectives. The narrative is unusual because POV #1 is first person, but POV #2 is third person. Later, a POV #3 is added. It’s kind of hard to get used to, but it really does matter. The author was masterful in threading together the characters, story details, and even geography. As soon as I finished the book, I went right back to the beginning and re-read several chapters, going “OOOOOOHHHHH!” I just love it when a story catches me completely off guard like that!

I rarely give 5 star ratings, but it’s entirely deserved here. This is going on my 2018 Favorites list.  I’ve recommended it to my friends, and one has already told me that she loved it.

Do you like getting caught off guard with a plot twist?
