So by now you’ve figured out that I’m a bit of a label junkie. It’s always been that way! Even as a kid, I used to order stickers and labels with my name on it. Maybe it stems from the fact that my name was spelled weird and nothing was ever pre-printed with the correct spelling. These days, it’s simple to personalize custom labels. However, there is a ubiquitous theme with many label companies of cutesy and basic fonts. My daughter wanted to get labels with a cute little saying (“Meh have swaggah”) on them.  She squealed with delight when these came in the mail.  I haven’t seen her that excited about something since she turned 8 years old.  The tween stage is all about being hard to please, and she’s very good at it.  Thumbs up to Kidecals for thawing her out!  She was so impressed with these cute labels that she started sticking them on her beloved Rainbow Loom stash.  Now that’s a testimony right there.

There are several search options available on Kidecals.  When you shop, take the time to check out the gender specific labels but don’t focus only on those because you’ll miss some great items.  I loved the “Our Favorites” category under “Style.”  This had some unique labels that I’ve never seen; definitely a great choice for someone who wants out-of-the-ordinary personalization.  If you have a Mac, I highly recommend that you check out the keyboard labels.  They’re so much fun and would make a perfect gift at a very reasonable price!!  I wish these were available for traditional desktop computers as well because I’d definitely be game.   I also loved the wall decals — so many cute decor items from  which to choose.  The Sample Set is a great way to try out Kidecals and also makes a great gift!  Consider gifting these to a special teacher or friend along with a book.  The bold color choices are fun to peruse.  I would like to see more font options available for the samples.

I kept putting things in my cart and adding more, more, more.  Finally, I settled upon the organization labels.  These are really cool because you can set them up for your specific needs. I customized my labels to make it easier to pack school lunches.  Our refrigerator was in a sorry state of disarray.   First, I purchased some plastic bins at Big Lots for around 70-cents each.  The Pantry Labels best suited my needs but there are lots of other options for different spaces (playroom, laundry room, etc) so play around with the website to find your perfect fit!!

The labels make it so easy for my kids to prepare their daily school lunch.  We take the bins out, set them on the counter, and then have 4 bins to replace instead of 12 individual containers.  In the refrigerator drawers and in the door, there are separate bins for fruit, condiments, and other small items.   Thank you for saving my sanity, Kidecals!
