My parents taught me to never write in books. As I was growing up, I always felt a little bit scandalous when I doodled in my Bible. Sometimes I did this to mark specific verses I loved; other times, I highlighted parts that spoke directly to my heart. When a friend or penpal added a verse to a letter they sent me, I looked up the verse and doodled that person’s name next to it. For years, this was my secret habit! It was a special way to personalize God’s word. Somewhere along the years, that Bible was packed away or lost; I wish I still had it. It would be a wonderful artifact from my childhood, and the early years of my faith. When journaling Bibles started making an appearance in recent months, I immediately wanted one. Many thanks to FlyBy, who provided me with a beautiful blue floral journaling Bible! #JournalingBible #FlyBy #giveaway at savingsinseconds.com

The margins of the journaling Bible are large enough to accommodate sermon notes, thoughts, and prayer lists.  I love that the cover has such an artistic design; it’s very different from typical Bibles. Its slipcover case has sharp corners, which make it easy to wrap!  Pair it with a set of lovely markers and you have a beautiful gift.

I earned from my Great grandma about writing about your important verses in Bible. Her Bible had so much writing, you could learn just from that. I do it now and my niece is starting from watching us. I would give this to her.

  4. I find that when I read the Bible I am always wanting to add notes. This would be perfect. I thought I would be able to add notes on my tablet Bible, but my current program does not allow for that. I think having notes would be helpful to me.

  5. I would give this Bible to my daughter. She would love this. She loves her Bible and has journals all over, so both in the same bind would make her so happy. I like the floral one. They all look so good!!

  6. would love this – our church is now using the ESV and my old NIV is falling apart – I need a new Bible!!

I could talk forever about this Bible because I have been looking at it for a long time. I would selfishly keep it for myself. My current Bible is falling apart with pages falling out. I just have not been able to afford a new one. So I just keep using the one l have and am very grateful that I have it. Many would love to have the bible I have. And as I continue to read His Word I also pray that God may provide a way for me to get a new bible. I love this Bible because it has such big places for notes plus its ESV which I love. Thank you!

I would send it to my brother. He ius the Youth Pastor of his church and this Bible could really come in handy. I still write notes in the tiny spaces of my Bible, I have since I was 15 and received my first bible from a church friend.

  17. I love journaling so adding the option to my bible would be fantastic! During church, I usu have to carry a separate journal, so this would be really convenient!

  18. I would keep it for myself. I love the space to illustrate what I am feeling as I read the passages. It would be perfect to take along on walks I often take alone to meditate.

  22. I’ve never heard of a journaling Bible before. It’s very beautiful. I would like one to be able to keep up with my Pastor’s reading. When he reads certain scriptures I would like to keep up the dates and what they mean. Thank you for offering this beautiful book.

  23. I’ve been really curious about Bible journaling lately and would love to try it. My current Bible is way too small and has no margins!

  24. brittani adams says

I would like to keep it but I think my mom is more deserving and would love it. I love the blue one pictured above, I love that you can write in and keep notes and journals in your bible now.

  25. Lori Williams says

It would be really nice to be able to journal directly in my Bible without have to squeeze it in on the side or find a page that has a little more space to write on. I do have a notebook that I journal in but would love to not have to carry an extra book to church. Thank you!

  26. I would either keep it or give it, depending on what felt right at the moment. Christmas is coming, so it would probably make a really cool gift.

  27. I had never heard of a journaling Bible until I read your post. I would love to win the blue one! It’s lovely and I would give it to my daughter as I have a Bible I have used and made notations in for years. Thank you for the chance! Happy Thanksgiving!

  35. I would want the Original, Black for me. Nice and convenient.

  36. Lori Williams says

It is great that the margins are big enough even for sermon notes!! I have had times when I would be searching for a place in my Bible to write something down and just couldn’t find a space big enough. I think I sometimes even may have written over some scriptures a little. With this Bible that wouldn’t happen. Thanks for the great giveaway!
