We have older grandparents in our family so we purchased two Recordable Storybooks when our daughters were born and each grandparent read a story to them in the story book. Now we have something to pass from generation to generation. We also did this with all of their aunts.

I love the “The greatest gift a nativity story” I would have my husband (or maybe one of the grandpa’s) read it so my daughter could listen to it while Daddy was at work or when we are away from the grandparents.
