I’ve never seen the show Broad City, so when this book came along I was completely new to Abbi Jacobson’s antics.  I Might Regret This is a terrific inspiration for stepping foot in 2019.

It’s easy to envy the lives of celebrities, but Jacobson lays it all out there in her book.  Some of her rants near the ridiculous-side, such as entire paragraphs about messy coffee spoons.  Still, I enjoyed the stream-of-consciousness writing. It reminded me of conversations with my friends.  The things she says are true and relatable.  I didn’t really care about the drawings, but it wasn’t a big deal.

Now that we’re staring 2019 in the face, it might be time for you to step back.  Take assessment of where you are right now, and decide if that’s where you want to be.  You might not be able to (or want to) take a 3-week road trip to find yourself, but you just might read some inspiring thoughts that help carve 2019 into a better year than 2018 was.
