I love adorable clothes for kids.

For years, I’ve been a HUGE fan of Gymboree.  We had a friend who shared her baby’s Gymboree outfits with us, and I was hooked.   That’s right. I drank the Gymboree water and I got the credit card. Seriously.

Their outfits had personality,  just like my little sweeties.   The quality of fabrics (even stain resistance) was amazing, and my kids always looked adorable! As a bonus, the gently-used Gymboree clothing always fetched top dollar at consignment sales and resale shops.  These clothes wash and wear well.  There’s always a great coupon or sale going on, so it was like my kids got to wear their cute clothes for next to nothing.  It still makes me smile to look back on these photos from so long ago!    Gymboree Mod Zebra Wildflowers Paris You may have heard that Gymboree and Crazy 8 brands will be shut down.  So sad!  Happily, you can still find a unique look at Janie & Jack

You’ll be amazed at the quality in these styles.  They’re wonderful for family photos, special occasions, and holidays.  Sign up for the email and get 10% off!   From soft materials to neutral colors, they pay attention to the way kids dress and parents shop.  It’s a win-win for everyone.

Looking for a special baby shower gift?  You won’t believe the ooh’s and aah’s you’ll hear after the mom-to-be unwraps this beautiful velvet tiered dress.  You can often find baby sizes at seriously discounted prices!

I want these fringe loafers in MY size!

We still have some of the kids’ Gymboree t-shirts from when they were babies.  These were always the first to be worn because they were so cute and so soft!

Multiple kids, multiple seasons

It’s true that Janie & Jack clothes cost more than the typical brands.  There are ways to stretch your dollar while enjoying these beautiful outfits.  I like to buy pants in basic colors, then have several tops (and even dresses) to coordinate.  My daughter wore her too-short dresses as swing tops with jeans, making them last through several seasons.  Little things like this make Janie & Jack a good option for multiple kids, since you can get a lot of use out of each item.

ACCESSORIES

We loved to dig through the sale bins at the counter to find accessories.  Sunglasses, shoes, and headbands were always huge finds!  These little things truly make an outfit unforgettable — like the Mod Zebra headband in the photo at top!  Even socks can turn a “regular” outfit into something special.

I love the versatility of Janie & Jack’s separates.  It’s so easy for kids to coordinate an outfit.  Imagine, with that kind of independence, you might be able to drink your coffee while it’s still hot.

Tell me about a Janie & Jack item you love!

I had started buying outfits for my besties grand daughter when Gymboree went out of business. I’m glad I stocked up on a few before they closed up for good.
