Gorton’s Seafood offers Real Solutions for busy moms. Working full-time outside of the home takes up most of my day. When I come home, I have my family to care for as well as anything I’ve brought home from work (papers to grade, lessons to plan, or anything else that needs to be done.) Somehow in the midst of all that, I’ve also got to put dinner on the table. Gorton’s sent me some coupons to try their new Artisan Fillets in our family’s menu rotation. My son and I both love fish, so I was really interested to see how the rest of the family would enjoy these dinners.
I bought our Artisan Recipe Fillets at Kroger using the coupons that Gorton’s sent me. There were 3 different choices of this particular type; however, many Gorton’s products were available. I was so surprised to find that the Artisan Recipe meals were on sale for $2.99 a box. That is a huge savings, especially for a main course meat option!! I asked my daughter to choose the flavor she wanted to try. With some trepidation, she selected the Roasted Garlic & Italian Herb fillets. We made these with a side of steamed rice (from the frozen veggie aisle).
The entire meal was ready in 20 minutes, with absolutely no prep time for me. Such an easy weeknight menu! The aroma of the baking fish was very strong. In fact, I wasn’t sure I’d like the flavor because of the intensity of the Italian herb smell. The fillets were nice and crunchy when I took them out of the oven. And the verdict? My kids LOVED them. Honest to God, I thought I would have to bribe them to take a bite. Instead, my son immediately polished off his dinner. My daughter drowned her first bite in ketchup, closed her eyes, and winced as she chewed. After a couple of seconds she looked up and said, “Wow. Not bad!” Then a few minutes later, she asked, “Can I please have another piece of fish?” She had already finished her entire fillet. You could have knocked me over with a feather; I never thought I’d hear those words come out of her mouth. Already my children have told me that this is a “make again” which is as good as a blue ribbon in my house. Count us in on the rest of the flavors, Gorton’s!

I would like the grilled salmon or talapia.
My son loves the fish sticks – he calls them big french fries! I love all of the Gorton’s products. My favorites are the tilapia.
We love the Beer Battered Shrimp

It’s been a while since I’ve purchased Gorton’s and from looking at their website I think they have some pretty awesome “newer” items. I especially like the page about the 20 at 200 or less. Garlic butter shrimp scampi, Lemon Butter Grilled Salmon, and Simply Bake Haddock Garlic Herb Butter are just among the few selections that look so very appetizing to me but at the same time are 200 calories or less. Makes me drool just thinking about it!

We always have a supply of Gorton’s fish sticks in our freezer for the kids. You can get a huge bag at Walmart for $10.
The Crispy Beer Batter Shrimp sounds amazing. I’m going to make a note on my grocery list for next week! Yum 🙂

Gortons has many different products to satisfy your tastes I love their Shrimp Scampi, it is wonderful and hubby likes the Beer Batter Shrimp, but we really like shrimp in about any way,
Due to the giveaway I had to try a product. I bought the grilled tilapia and LOVED it I would like to try the Salmon next!

It’s nice to see both breaded and unbreaded products. I have to be gluten free, so anything breaded is straight out.

I love how easily and quickly you can prepare a “real” meal with Gorton’s. Especially with recipes like Beer Battered Fillets with bacon and cheese grits.

We ONLY use Gorton’s when we buy frozen fish products. Usually its the fish sticks 44 pc. or Crispy Battered Fish Fillets. 🙂 Their breaded shrimp is good as well.
