Giving mom something special for Mother’s Day gets increasingly harder the older I get. It’s hard to please my mom. She doesn’t spend any money on herself, doesn’t really want for anything, but also loves to be pampered. Is mom into books?  For the reader who enjoys a great series, consider the Tales of Goldstone Wood books.  The most recent is the title Shadow Hand.   It’s based in a fairy tale slash middle earth world, yet this newest title brings forth a very cool sci fi element.  Author Anne Elisabeth Stengl has a mesmerizing way with words.  I tend to get hypnotized while reading her books, completely absorbed in the world she creates. This one is sure to be loved  by teens and adults alike!  Although it’s tempting to get only the latest book, might I suggest that you also provide the rest of the series?  Even though each story is different, this series is truly meant to be read in succession.  Since Shadow Hand is one of many in the storyline, it’s nice to have that bit of background.  If your reader starts in the middle of this series, she will be a little bit lost.  Plus the rest of the books are just so spectacularly good!!!
