As children walk into the front doors of various school buildings, we all smile with the traditional scene. We imagine backpacks full of freshly sharpened pencils, hair pulled into taut ponytails with bows, and shiny faces bright with the anticipation of new friendships. How many times does a confident faith play into that picture of the First Day of School? Outside of academics, kids learn about lots of other life experiences in schools. Not all of these are positive! My children have come home asking about words, lifestyles, and activities that rattle my heart. When faced with the challenges of the world, can I be certain that my children are confident in their faith? I’m learning about this through the Apologetics Study Bible for Students.

This is not your typical Bible. Well, yes, it contains the entire scripture and expected footnotes. Those notes are somewhat easier to read, so that teens will fully comprehend the background to each situation. The Apologetics Study Bible is different because of the way it deliberately presents the Christian faith to its readers. This is an excellent option for those who are new to the Christian faith, as it explains theology and history in tandem. This book would be tremendously useful in a teen Sunday School class, where difficult topics and current events are sure to come up in conversation. Through the Apologetics Study Bible, students can explore their natural questions and find biblically-supported answers.

Free resources that supplement the Apologetics Study Bible are also available. These include videos that confront some of the most controversial topics in the modern world. These videos are short but powerful. Although you might not agree with everything said in the videos, they’re very interesting to watch. The topics will certainly urge you to consider your own beliefs, and (perhaps more importantly) WHY you uphold those beliefs. disclosure

I love how this is somewhat geared toward our younger generation & it’s important that it presents itself in such a way that it reaches out & grabs their attention in this way, or else the younger generation likely will not care much about this type of subject if the book were to come off in a different manner. *I totally feel like I’m rambling at this point, I hope I’ve made my point, but it’s nearly impossible to think straight at the moment.
