When you travel, what’s your favorite souvenir to buy? Whenever we visit a new city, I look for a book on haunted history for that area. It’s a good way to know the places where history and local legend meet. That’s why I was so excited to find this title at our local used bookstore a few weeks ago.

Aside from the supernatural stuff in these pages, it’s just fascinating to read the stories of the past. Each chapter is dedicated to a different landmark, such as East Tennessee State University or various hotels. I’m always intrigued by the ghost stories of old places, so it was fun to learn about these sites that are so close to home.
