Perhaps my frugal ways came from the place in my life when we didn’t have two nickels to rub together.  When my husband and I got married, we received and saved a few gift cards to places like Kroger and various restaurants.   There were lean times when I was the only one working and he was completing his Master’s degree; we often depended on those gift cards to get us through.   We had meatless Monday long before it was trendy because it was necessary in order to save a few pennies.  I don’t consider those “hard times.”  Instead, my husband and I truly learned how to get by with little.

Like everyone else, we still have times when the budget is tighter than others but our lifestyle has also changed a great deal.  We try not to be frivolous, using sites like Frugaa to help us to be good stewards with our money.  It’s the little angel on my shoulder, helping me save a bit here and some more there.

Frugaa is different than other code sites I’ve seen.  It offers several options to search for discounts to find you the best deal.  My favorite is the option to set your budget, which I hadn’t seen before on other sites.  You can also sort by available categories.  On the stores page, I noticed so many stores that were new to me.
