#FashionProject picks help a good cause! savingsinseconds.com

Back in the olden days before online sales and discount codes, my friends and I had a little secret.  We shopped at a boutique consignment store that specialized in high-end brands.  Twice a year, the owner traveled to Atlanta, Charlotte, and NYC to find fabulous deals on designer clothing.  She brought them down to her little shop and mailed out special invitation postcards to invite her customers to the event.  She walled up the store for 3 days in preparation.  On the day of the sale, women waited outside the door for hours to get in.  My sister and I were loyal customers; we raced in and grabbed clothes off the racks to try on.  We shared many a dressing room in the frenzy of the designer deals.  Sadly, that little boutique closed down once people could shop online.  While the discounts online might be steep, it’s still hard to find designer items at bargain-shopper prices.  Then I stumbled upon Fashion Project.  Dear friends, I am sharing this juicy secret with YOU!

When you shop with Fashion Project, you’re also helping others.  A whopping 55% of the proceeds are donated to charity.  You can even narrow down your shop search to a specific charity!  I was really impressed with the wide variety of causes that benefit from Fashion Project.  If you’ve ever received unwanted calendars or address labels from a charity, consider donating through your shopping dollars.  After all, we can all use shoes, right?  I love that next to the list price, Fashion Project shows the discount you’re getting with the purchase.  Many items were up to 80% off.   So if the shoe fits, buy it!

While some of the items are pre-loved, there are lots of items on Fashion Project that are New With Tags.  Just as with my little consignment store secret, you’ll be getting a huge style points while spending a fraction of the price!   Consider these for gift giving as well.  I found lots of great buys in the accessories section, too.  Believe it or not, there’s even a Sale section.  As if the prices weren’t low enough, they go even LOWER!  To find it, just click “Shop” and go all the way to the right on the toolbar.   Some major bargains are waiting for you there when you add the discount code to bring the sale prices down 50%!   Be sure to check the sizes; you can also narrow down by item condition.

Which cause would you shop for?  Did you find any amazing bargains at Fashion Project?
