Disney Princess Felt makes a great Valentine’s Day Gift

Disclosure: Thanks to Thunder Bay Press for sending me the Disney Princess Felt kit. Opinions shared are mine.

When my kids were younger, I looked for non-sugar gifts for holidays.  We didn’t eat much candy, so it usually went to waste at our house.  The kids got their sweets from goodie bags at school or when we visited friends.  Some of the best low-cost, sugar-free gifts I found were balloons, art supplies, and books.  The Disney Princess Felt includes the art supplies and the book instructions to make 10 of these little cuties!

The book provides visual instructions and a list of “ingredients” that your child can find right in the kit box.  Die-cut templates are easy to punch out, and the embroidery floss and needle are also provided.  The felt is in sheets, so you may need to help your child arrange it to sew it correctly.  Once the basic form is stitched together, use the included stuffing to finish the project.

This is a great craft project to introduce your child to the fun of sewing.  The felt princesses can be played with, saved for Christmas ornaments, to give as gifts, or display as room decor.  If you purchased additional needles, this would also make a fun birthday party activity for a princess-themed event!  The ten princess forms included in the kit are Snow White, Cinderella, Belle, Aurora, Ariel, Mulan, Jasmine, Tiana, Merida, and Rapunzel.
