Admit it.

You can’t even get past the cover without thinking how much you want to read this book!

Don’t worry, I feel the same way.

It’s really as adorable as it looks!

Our family loves to watch Food Network (which is kind of funny because they’re such picky eaters!)  My daughter especially loves the show Cupcake Wars.  Well, as you can imagine, this book has a similar flair.   The competition in the book is called Cupcake Combat but you can’t miss the similarities.  So many times when I’ve watched that show, I’ve wondered about the path that got the contestants to that point.  Everything hangs in the balance of a few key ingredients, the perfectly heated oven, and an incredible knack for baking.   In this story, Kat seems to have all that yet lacks a sense of confidence.  For good reason, since her family tends to belittle her dreams and goals.  It was frustrating to see how weak her support base really was!  Despite this, she has a secure friendship with childhood friend Lucas.  He was a cutie to the nth degree; I loved the way the author shared his feelings and emotions as often as Kat’s.  For the most part he rallied in Kat’s corner and was a true stronghold for her.  I really enjoyed the dialogue between the two of them as they sifted through their feelings like so much cake flour.  All’s Fair in Love and Cupcakes is a cute book that will have you grinning and groaning all at the same time.

Yes, it’s sugary sweet and all kinds of messy.   Who doesn’t love a good cupcake?!

Don’t miss Betsy St. Amant’s latest fiction release, All’s Fair in Love and Cupcakes. A “sweet” tale of two best friends and the choices they make between dreams and a possible “sure thing,” St. Amant’s novel is sure to satisfy your romantic-fiction craving.

Thanks to the publisher for sending me this book.
