Cool indie jewelry for those hard-to-find pieces you didn’t know you needed

Disclosure: This is a Fashionista Event. I was given a promotional item to review by 9thandElm.com to share my opinions about the website. All opinions are my own.

Do you get seriously attached to your jewelry? Are there pieces that you love because they can’t be found just anywhere? I have a silver and white rhinestone flower cuff bracelet that I once found in a catalog. When it arrived, I loved it so much that I bought three more so I’d never be without one if the original should break or get lost. It’s kind of like when I bought three spare loveys for my son when he was a baby…..he couldn’t sleep without that blanket and I was never going to make him. If you know exactly what I mean, say a big fat welcome to 9thandElm.com, soon to be your newest “Add to home screen” page.

Upon my first visit to the site, I just browsed. The variety of cool stuff was just not to be believed. There was jewelry, some made from repurposed wood and some created from vintage clothing. Awesome, right? Then there were these beautiful clutches that could go from the workplace to the nightclub without batting an eyelash, but turning all the heads. Don’t forget the cool but comfy clothes, like unique cardigans and gameday dresses. Every designer had their wares out like an online art show. It was amazing! I visited at least three times before placing my order because I just couldn’t decide. Fair warning…..don’t do that. Because by the time you finally make a decision, it’s quite likely that some of your must-have items will be gone. They’ll either be soldout (happened to me three times) or the sale is no longer available for that item. Then you’ll be kicking yourself because the process has to start all over again.

I scored these beautiful green earrings that look fabulous with anything from formal wear to casual Saturday stuff. I wear these with a simple green top and always get compliments on them. I loved that the earrings dangle from posts that are more vintage than silver. That gives them such a unique look.

This clutch was also a must-have. It’s a great alternative to carrying a bulky purse. I also just love the elephants. This is a fun switch from my regular mom look.

I also wavered between another pair of earrings that I loved but just couldn’t decide if I had anything to go with them. Then it occurred to me…..I might just need to get a shirt to go with the earrings. They are that divine. What do you think of them?

Go ahead, pin it all. I understand. You can also follow 9thandElm,com on Pinterest and Facebook, which I had to do also. I wish for a wishlist button on 9thandElm.com. Short of putting all my lovelies in the online cart, there wasn’t a way for me to save the items I longed for. I ended up going back for those silver and blue earrings but couldn’t remember the designer, so it took me a while to find that pair again. The shipping prices were quite reasonable, although you do need to plan ahead so that you’re not waiting by the mailbox for that last-minute gift. One thing I really liked about shopping through 9thandElm.com is that they handle any issues that might arise with the designers. My order status was communicated with me and I knew what was going on at all times. If you’ve ever worked with independent websites and have had an issue, you know what a hassle it can be if your order doesn’t go through. Thankfully 9thandElm.com is very professional and kept me in the loop from the time I hit submit to the time my items were in my hands.

When my items arrived, it was like Christmas Day — the best kind though, where I get everything I wanted because I picked it out!! The green earrings were beautifully wrapped with a flower-adorned box and a handwritten note. I loved the way these gorgeous baubles caught the light. They look exactly the way they were pictured, which is always a bonus when shopping online. These were from the designer Sacred Cake and would be perfect to ship to someone special as a special thinking-of-you package.

This is the perfect site to find a cool piece of jewelry for that person who is so hard to shop for. You can also find some beautiful jewelry from independent designers that you might have to name your children after, you love them so much. You’ll find pieces you didn’t know you had to have. All thanks to 9thandElm.com.

I liked that checkout was easy and that they had good communication. I hate when you start wondering what is going on with an order. Too bad about having to keep going back….I bet you kept finding things as you did. I have that problem.
