College students: how you can earn some extra cash (no plasma required)

This post is brought to you by CampusBookRentals.  The opinions shared here are 100% mine.

Back in my college days when students needed to earn some extra cash, it wasn’t uncommon for them to hit the plasma donation center. It required being hooked up to a few IV tubes and sitting for two hours or so. This was before the days of Wi-Fi or even cell phones so most kids took a book to read. I was too chicken to do it myself, but many of my friends were willing to brave the IV for that money.  More than one friend came back with a nasty bruise on  her arm.  The plasma center was in a seedy part of town.  Still, the laundry needed to be done so the college kids did what they had to do.

Thankfully these days college students have a less invasive opportunity to pad the monthly budget. CampusBookRentals.com launched RentBack.com so that college students can benefit from renting their textbooks to fellow students.  Whether you’re still in school or you’re in those haggard months of job-searching after graduation, perk up your eyes and ears.  I’m about to help you make some cash-ola.

All that’s required is a textbook….and all college students have those, right? A few months ago I shared the glories of the CampusBookRental program. With their newest program, RentBack, students can benefit from the idea of textbook rentals.  It’s easy to calculate your earnings by just entering the ISBN number on the page.  Seeing the dollar signs already?  Pull out those books and let’s find out what they’re worth.

To understand how the program works, take a look at this video.

Did you catch that? The benefit of the RentBack program is that students can earn up to 4x the amount of cash that they might have earned by just selling the textbook outright! It also helps those students who are able to obtain textbooks by renting them rather than buying new. Finally, the entire rental program is earth-friendly because it reduces the need to produce more books, using more natural resources and potentially filling up landfill space.

If you haven’t yet purchased your textbooks for summer intercession courses, definitely check out the sale at CampusBookRentals!  And instead of using those books as a coffee table, get some money back from them.  Then you can use that cash to buy some real furniture.
