Enter the Christmas in July giveaway -- one winner receives a book, DVD, and $5 Paypal cash! savingsinseconds.com Welcome to the “Let’s Celebrate Christmas in July” Giveaway Hop!  I’ve teamed up with a great group of bloggers who worked hard to bring you great giveaways. This event is hosted by Lauren Paints | a beautiful life.  Can you believe it’s already the middle of the year?  So many people say they don’t want to think about Christmas yet, but I’m here to tell you that it’s TIME to think about it.  If you start early, you can really head off some of the frustration and stress of the holidays.  I’ve already started some of my holiday shopping; it’s time to get your gift closet filled up, too! Let’s celebrate Christmas in July with a giveaway hop full of prizes, what do you say? Our sponsors for this event are Tommy Nelson and NCircle Entertainment.  I received product samples from these sponsors and have the opportunity to share the same products with you!  I’m also throwing in $5 Paypal cash for the lucky winner.  After all, doesn’t everyone like to get the green stuff?

For me, Christmas is all about the kids.  And at my house, dinosaurs are always a hit!   My children can’t get enough of this Dino Dan spinoff, the Tyrannosaurus Trek DVD.  They love the imagination in the episodes.  Trek inspires kids to problem solve and consider different outcomes in a scientific way.  There’s a lot of opportunity for learning through this DVD.  Kids are encouraged to use their senses and observation skills to find out more about the dinosaurs.  Kids learn that writing can be kind of fun when they get into it!  Remember my post about grandparents?  Trek’s grandmother even gets involved in the fun.  I like that the episodes are short (only about 10 minutes each) so we can squeeze one in while we’re waiting for a prescription refill or some other mundane task.  Dino Dan videos are a great conversation starter.   This DVD retails for $12.99 and is available on Amazon.
A Night Night Prayer is a sweet-as-sugar book that can help your little one settle in for the night.  The illustrations are so gentle, with faint brushstrokes and quiet colors.  The little alpaca is just dear!  The lilting rhymes have a bouncy cadence that your child will quickly follow.  Some pages are reminiscent of the popular bedtime book Good Night, Moon.  This is the kind of book that you’ll want to read while cuddled in bed with your child.  Allow your voice to get softer and softer with each page, mimicking the sleepy tone of the story.  This book retails for $9.99.
Of course, the winner will also receive $5 via Paypal, too (self-sponsored).

  1. I know that my little ones would love them all! They love dinosaurs and this show looks very entertaining and involved. They would be so happy if I won this DVD for them!

  2. All of my children have slept in my bed at some point. My 5 year old daughter hasn’t for a couple of years now. But my one year old son still does every now and then, and I don’t have a problem with it. Every night when I tuck my daughter in after story time, we talk about what we will do tomorrow. Right before I leave I tell her how much I love her and to sleep good. 🙂
