Disclosure: I received a copy of Brave Girls. The opinions shared here are 100% mine.

Brave Girls Bible stories #giveaway - savingsinseconds.com When I was growing up, I loved to hear stories about women who did extraordinary things! It was hard for me to understand (at that age) how cultural differences can impact the freedom a woman has. In today’s news, we get to celebrate brave girls like Malala who fought for her right to attend school, or how Oprah Winfrey overcame a childhood of abuse and grew up to impact so many lives. What about the women of the Bible who dared to risk it all for their faith? What about the times when the Bible was a banned book? In this giveaway, we’ll get to celebrate the freedom to read the Bible without censor and celebrate brave girls at the same time! Thanks to Tommy Nelson, one lucky reader will win a hardcover copy of the Brave Girls Bible Stories.

  5. Shakeia Rieux says

I really like God loves me even when I mess up

  6. I find a book of Brave Girls from the Bible to be really sad. After all in the Bible women were treated as property. In fact, many were raped and killed. The bible really does not look upon any woman w/ favor. It would be more accurate to have a book of girls who survived the biblical times. :/

There are many stories of women in the Bible who would help my girl age 6. Rahab is one I read recently myself and I know she was very important to our world.

  14. The God has a plan for me seems to be the best.

  15. my girls would really love this. in the past we havent ever been really religous. my mother was raised very very strict catholic and so when she had us there was really no religion in our lives, but we knew basic prayers, how to use a rosary and were baptised but that was about it. about 2 years ago i was a passenger in a pretty bad car accident and am still dealing with the injuries. its affected our whole family, i havent worked since the accident and my 3 little girls have had to make huge adjustments. i havent been able to pick my girls up in 2 years. theres a lot of things i cant do with them anymore. recently myself as well as my oldest daughter (who turns 7 next month) have become more interested in religion. i have been looking for a good bible stories for kids book. and i think the god loves me even when i mess up would be a very good story for her. overall shes a pretty good girl but she likes to steal my candy ( i have a lot , my medications leave terrible flavors in my mouth and candy helps) eat it and then act guilty until either i figure it out or she feels so guilty she tells me. then she feels so bad about it she thinks that god hates her, or santa claus (lol) so i think that particular story would be perfect for her!
