Why do I love this series? Let me count the ways. First of all, it’s a perfect middle grades book. The characters struggle with autonomy, adolescence, sibling issues, and other sure signs of being a teen. Secondly, the book is CLEAN. No worries about bad language or inappropriate scenes. But don’t get me wrong, it’s not a banal cheese fest. Quite the contrary! The Dreamhouse Kings books are downright exciting! The characters are transported to different moments of time, such as a Civil War battle or a gladiator fight in the Colosseum. So amazing. The third thing I love? It’s a series. That means the story doesn’t end with the last page. If you have a middle schooler, young adult, or if you’re just looking for a really great book, you NEED to check this one out. I noticed that several of the books are eligible for Amazon’s 4-for-3 promotion. You can also get a great deal on a few of them, like Timescape
