How to find your perfect match hair color
I found my favorite shades by taking the Hair Color Quiz. This provided me with my “perfect match” for both lighter and darker shades. It gave me peace of mind to know that the Color Crew was available to guide me to the right shade, or get me out of a tough spot when I colored for the first time.
So far, my favorite shades are Verona Brown when I want a lighter color, and Positano Black when I feel like dark and glossy is needed.

Though you can order from Madison Reed’s website, I find it easier to subscribe to shipments. The box arrives on my doorstep just when the color starts to wash out. Perfect timing! My subscription is paid through my Amazon Prime account, which makes things even easier. This is so convenient, it’s almost a hassle when I have to make a salon appointment for a haircut. Madison Reed has spoiled me.
Other Madison Reed products
I’ve tried Madison Reed color reviving gloss with good results. It’s an easy way to refresh color without changing shades.
The color kit comes with one small tube of shampoo and conditioner. I’ve purchased these in full size bottles, too, because I really like the formula. It smells great and leaves my hair feeling so soft.
Highlights
I haven’t tried Madison Reed highlights yet, but it’s on my list of things to do this summer! The warm caramel or cool toffee tones would be fun to try, and I love that they’re ammonia-free.
