Animal Graph blog tour

Disclosure: I received a free book with the blog tour. Opinions shared are mine.

Though author M. Black is not new to the dystopian genre, Animal Graph was the first book I’ve read from this series.  Black created an interesting futuristic setting in which survival is only one of the trials characters face.  Society’s downfall is evident, down to the way families are killed for trying to keep meat.  A corrupt government creates rules that only help those in power.  In this way, the story vaguely reminds me of Hunger Games.

A generous backstory is provided, making it easy to catch up even in book 3.  Being Graphed sounds like it would make for a unique existence, providing amazing skills such as being able to breathe underwater.  Some things don’t change even in this strange world, though.  For examples, mamas always worry over their children.  Sibling rivalry is alive and well.  This unfamiliar world might not be so different from ours after all!
