A Rare Nativity book review and #giveaway - enter at savingsinseconds.com

When I received the book A Rare Nativity to review, I worried that it would have a sinister tone. From the first few pages, I just wasn’t sure what the book would contain.  This was probably due to the voice in my head, hearing the words as I silently read.  By the end of the story, though, I realized that the nature of A Rare Nativity was pure and good.It inspires the reader to be a better person, and to consider what it means to be human.  My kids and I have been listening to the gospel of Luke in the car, and it’s hard to explain why Herod wanted to kill all the male babies at the time of Jesus’ birth.  Knowing that Jesus was brought into the world during such a time just makes this story even more meaningful. The avant-garde approach to the artwork makes a visually stunning story.

This hardcover will earn its rightful place on your coffee table as a holiday conversation piece.  Using found materials as artwork, A Rare Nativity turns the tide on anger when two people bridge the gap between hate and forgiveness.   The book’s narrator sends his “enemy” a box of garbage – from broken eggshells to a torn-up birdnest.  The enemy extends an olive branch…..well, a branch, anyway.  The result is an unexpected masterpiece that reminds the reader about the true nature of Christmas.  Watch the book trailer to learn more!
