Savings for a fun day at The Island in Pigeon Forge, TN #TheIslandPF

So, when we got discounted tickets for the 7D ride at The Island in Pigeon Forge, I had NO IDEA about the other rides that were just around the corner. It was our first time going there, but I just hadn’t researched it at all.  We didn’t have time to check out the rides, so we promised the kids we’d go back the next day when we had more time.  My son was especially interested in the ropes course!

Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Feud in Pigeon Forge #HatfieldMcCoyDinnerShow

Disclosure: Thanks to Hatfield & McCoy Dinner Feud for providing us with tickets. We enjoyed it! Groupon referral links are used; opinions shared are mine.

Every time we drive through Pigeon Forge, my kids ask if we can go to the Hatfield and McCoy Dinner Feud. The building is so eye-catching, you can’t miss it!  We were grateful to receive deeply discounted tickets to attend the dinner show this weekend.  The show was scheduled to start at 5:00 pm; make sure you arrive at least 45 minutes early.  I advise going at least an hour early so that you have time to enjoy the atmosphere before heading in for the show! WonderWorks in Pigeon Forge, TN – review and recommendations

We’re lucky to live within driving distance of Pigeon Forge, TN. In the Sevierville and Gatlinburg area, there are so many family-friendly activities to enjoy. We got word that May was Teacher Appreciation Month at WonderWorks, so we headed down there one Saturday. My kids call this “The Upside Down House.”

The Titanic Museum in Pigeon Forge

Disclosure: I received free admission for this post. Post contains affiliate links; purchases made through the link may earn me a small commission.

On this cold Saturday morning, everything in Northeast Tennessee was covered with a beautiful sheen of ice following our recent winter storm. What a perfect day to remember those souls who were aboard the Titanic just over 100 years ago.

As we drove down to Pigeon Forge, I was reminded of how cold it was on the Atlantic on that fateful night in April 1912. The air was around 32 degrees and the water a frigid 28 degrees!

Dollywood Tasting Pass 2022

This year Dollywood in beautiful Pigeon Forge, TN received several awards and honors for being such a great theme park, and they are well deserved! We hadn’t visited for many years, but ended up going several times this year. When we visited in years past, my kids were very small and needed frequent breaks. It was so tiring to visit an amusement park. Now that they’re older and self-sufficient, it has been a joy to hang out at Dollywood! My husband and I find ourself sitting on benches (I even take a book to read). While there over the holidays, I treated myself to the Dollywood Tasting Pass. Is it worth it? Let’s take a look!

Gatlinburg East KOA Campground in Cosby TN

For our first camping trip in Pigeon Forge, we chose Gatlinburg East KOA Campground in Cosby, TN.  There were so many options in the area that the selecting one was overwhelming!  We finally chose the KOA because it had excellent TripAdvisor reviews.  It was simple to make reservations online, and the Value Kard fee paid for itself ($30 cost, gives a 10% discount).   [Read more…]

Parrot Mountain Is For The Birds #PFTitanicFAM

Disclosure: We received complimentary passes for this review. The opinions shared here are 100% mine.

Have you ever visited a place and wished you could take everyone you loved there, to share the experience? That’s how I felt about Parrot Mountain. I saved this review for last because it’s the one that most surprised me. We’ve driven by the signs for Parrot Mountain many times during our trips to Dollywood. I’ve never really considered going there, although I’m not sure why. Perhaps because I hadn’t heard anything about it? What a shame!! This was one of our favorite attractions of the #PFTitanicFAM trip. We had so many good laughs while we were there. I can’t wait to visit again!
