When it’s Father’s Day, though, the super dad in your life is likely to want a book that keeps him interested from cover to cover! Enter Dr. Richard Mabry. He’s the man you want for this job!
I’ve had the good fortune to read several of Dr. Mabry’s books. I appreciate that his novels are clean yet thrilling! The suspense is exciting, and tends to unfold like a medical drama. He weaves his medical background into realistic fiction that will have Dad on the edge of his seat. Medical Judgment is a new release from Dr. Mabry, and one that dad will want to check out.
While the main character in Medical Judgment is a female, there are many male counterparts to balance out the story. As a contrast to his other novels, medicine isn’t a strong feature in this book. Instead, the story centers around threats to Dr. Gordon’s life. As the situation escalates, the reader is left to wonder who could be trying to destroy her life — or maybe even take it! I like that Mabry’s novels are clean, with only a hint of romance. Christian beliefs are mentioned in Medical Judgment, but it’s not a preachy book. Each character brings baggage to the table, and it’s interesting to sort through. An important theme in the story is the idea of moving on with life. I think most of us can relate to that in some regard. Medical Judgment is short enough to finish in a dedicated afternoon.
