Spring-Sweeping

Our sponsor for this event is Classroom Friendly Supplies.

Can you believe it’s almost the end of the school year?  I can’t!  The school year just flew by.  My own kids are growing up too fast, and I really enjoyed the group of students I was able to work with this year.  Around the end of March, teachers are usually reminded to spend what’s left of their classroom budgets.  My colleagues have been asking about the fabulous pencil sharpener that I reviewed last year.  It’s still in perfect working condition, unlike the electric sharpeners many of them purchased in August.  In fact, I bought one for my children to use at home.  There are many reasons that I love this sharpener.  For one thing, it’s quieter than the electric sharpeners that have been in my classroom.  It’s not completely silent, of course, but it isn’t disruptive like the electric ones.  It never overheats like the temperamental electric ones, either!  Also, if a pencil point breaks inside the sharpener, it takes all of five seconds to pop off the handle, get rid of the offensive point, then twist the handle back in.  In the past, we’ve had designated manual sharpeners for coloring pencils because the waxy pencils tend to clog the electric sharpeners.  I don’t have that problem with the one from Classroom Friendly Supplies.  We’re able to sharpen every pencil in it!  We prefer it without the clamp; that way, it’s portable and students can take it to their seats if needed.

If you can’t tell, I’m really excited that Classroom Friendly Supplies wanted to sponsor another giveaway of this fabulous sharpener.  This would be a lovely end-of-year gift for your child’s favorite teacher.  Or, keep it in your craft closet for the kids to use this summer.  The giveaway is open to US readers ages 18+.  Void where prohibited by law. Good luck!

Nothing is better than a freshly sharpened pencil to write, draw or just doodle with. THey have special prices for teachers if you buy 3 sharpeners and they donate $1.00 of all sharpener sales to be split between Caleb’s Crusade(childhood cancer) and Susan G. Komen for the Cure
