Doesn’t every little girl dream about being a princess at some point in her childhood? For Regina, that dream is about to come true. The problem is, her dream has been long forgotten in the shadows of other pursuits. How will her life’s choices impact her future?  In Princess Ever After we get to view the life of a commoner-turned-royal as she learns to balance her two worlds.

Most of the secrets of the book were loosely revealed within the first couple of chapters, so I never felt as though there was a lot of mystery in the story.  It seemed more like a Disney movie than anything else, as every good thing seems to happen to Regina.  The story is very sweet, though, and the book was enjoyable.  I appreciated the little bits of tradition that Regina gradually remembered throughout the book.  I, too, remember snippets of songs that my grandmother sang in my childhood days; Princess Ever After reminded me of those cherished times.  There were several good one-liners that made me want to hang their vinyl quotes on my walls.
