Finish® Powerball = my lucky day #ad

Disclaimer: This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Finish®. The opinions and text are all mine.

A domestic goddess, I am not.  If I won the lottery, I’d gladly pay a full-time housekeeper to busy herself with the dishes, dusting, and such things.  Need evidence?  It took me a year to figure out that the green “low rinse” indicator light on my dishwasher did NOT mean I was using an eco-friendly setting. Instead, it was trying to tell me that my dishes craved Dishwasher Rinse Aid. [Read more…]

How to make a photo cluster using one image – foamcoreprint.com

Disclosure: I received product samples for review. Opinions shared are mine.

One of my favorite things about visiting other people’s homes is getting to see how they decorate.  I love how each person displays a unique style.  For so long, I neglected to do anything with the photos on my phone.  It’s time to do something about it!  When Dave, the owner of Foamcoreprint.com, reached out to me about reviewing their products, it was the perfect time to try something new.  Photo collages have always appealed to me, but I wanted something more cohesive for this project.  I asked Dave to help me come up with something really special using this image: [Read more…]

It’s always fun to find a new author, and Hope Toler Dougherty is like the pot at the end of the rainbow! In her book Rescued Hearts, she builds a strong case for the saying, “A good deed never goes unpunished.”  What started with a kitten’s rescue turns out to be a lot more sinister. [Read more…]

Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga + Oceans book

Disclosure: I am a Parragon VIP blogger and received this book free from the publisher. Post contains affiliate links; opinions shared are mine.

Our family enjoyed a fun camping trip to Chattanooga, TN over fall break.  The last time I’d been there was over 20 years ago, so I was excited to return with my kids.  In the next few days, I’ll share some of our adventures with you.  First, let’s take a look at the Tennessee Aquarium!   This amazing attraction is right in the heart of downtown Chattanooga. It is housed in 2 main buildings, flanked by an IMAX theater just a few feet away.  Tickets are purchased in yet another building.  I tried to find a discount or online coupon to no avail.  [Read more…]

Use a coffee machine to make hot tea #MyAdagio

Disclosure: I received product samples of Adagio tea, and this post contains my ebates referral link. Opinions shared are mine.

This has been a busy week — one of those weeks that ends with a late night all 7 days.  This morning (Saturday) I went into my classroom for what was meant to be an hour or two, but ended up being there for 6 1/2 hours.  Next, I drove my daughter around town so she could work on her school project….taking photos of herself in front of historical monuments. In the rain.  On these days, I look forward to a steaming cup of hot tea before shuffling off to bed.  I’m so grateful for my coffee maker, which helps me to get the tea just right!  Adagio Tea sent me a glorious package with all kinds of product samples to try, and we’ve really enjoyed the daily treat. Last year I went through the whole portrait studio process and ordered 100 photo cards. We waited for an hour for them to be printed (which I thought was pretty fast) and I took them home. Since it was just September, the cards went right into the office cabinet….where they still sit to this day. That’s right, I have 100 photo cards from last year that were never mailed. Why? The reasons are many….never got around to stuffing the envelopes, addressing the envelopes, or mailing them.  Why didn’t anyone tell me about Minted?  Don’t worry, friend  I’ve got the details about holiday cards for you!  [Read more…]
